“She’s good. Really good. She kicked their brains in today, didn’t she?!” The thoughts of trainer Gai Waterhouse after her impeccably bred filly handed her her maiden VRC Oaks victory. I was trackside for this race and I have to say, it was as an impressive display as you could hope to see! Guided beautifully by Stephen Baster, he allowed her to roll around them after missing the start before settling just off the leader. Then, the way she kicked and found another gear at the 200m was simply breathtaking!
This piece is my tribute to Group 1 VRC Kennedy Oaks winner Pinot, it's a hand signed fine art Giclee print of my digital illustration on lightly textured matt stock. It was painted on a MacPro in Photoshop, using my Wacom Intuos Pro tablet.
This print is an extremely high quality, archival grade digital print that uses an ultra fine inkjet printing process to produce a superb quality print with unparalleled vibrancy and detail that will literally last well over a life time.
Giclee printing is widely regarded as one of the very best fine art printing methods and has become a standard for artists and photographers displaying their images in art galleries, museums and exhibitions.
