Chautauqua

The grey flash! Is there a more exciting sprinter in the land? Not in my opinion. There are horses that get back in running... and then there's Chautauqua! Without a doubt one of the most thrilling experiences I've had at the track was his win in the 2016 Lightning Stakes. Wow. At the 100 he was gone, even with 50m to run he was nowhere to be seen, then... BANG! You've never seen anything like this blokes' turn of foot. His three TJ Smith wins, along with the Lightning and perhaps the most stunning performance of all, the Chairman's Sprint Prize in Hong Kong, are 5 of the most breathtaking victories you're ever likely to see.

This piece is my tribute to the big grey, it's a hand signed fine art Giclee print of my digital illustration on lightly textured matt stock. It was painted on a MacPro in Photoshop, using my Wacom Intuos Pro tablet.
